Tammie Kent lives with her family in
Ellicottville, NY. She comes from a strong rodeo background,
considering her parents own the Ellicottville Championship Rodeo and
her brother Johnny is a champion bull rider. Tammie is 30 years of
age and has found that her true love in life is the sport called
rodeo. She has established a career in trick and fancy riding which
began by spending hours on horse back as a trail guide at her.
Rarent's riding stable. Tammie... never would have guessed that all
those hours spent on the forest trails of New York would lead to a
dazzling equine profession. After high school, her pursuit for
excellence guided her to Brandy
Crago's trick and fancy riding school and to the
purchase of "Cody" her black trick horse, enabling her to
perform in wild west shows, dinner shows and rodeos for thousands of
fans across the United States and Canada.
Tammie's congenial personality, superb
horsemanship and extensive rodeo knowledge allowed ,her to capture
the title of
Miss American Rodeo 1998. In her spare time she
likes to barrel race, break away rope and do a little trick and fancy
roping. When Tammie is not on the road with rodeo, you will find her
at her hometown where she works in the accounting department at Win
Sum Ski Corporation. Being a Northerner gives Tammie the opportunity
to enjoy skiing and snowboarding. Although, this winter, Tammie will
not be hitting the slopes. She will be performing once again with the
Longhorn Pony Express in cooperation with the Longhorn WorId
Championship Rodeo Company.
Tammie's thirteen years experience of trick and
fancy riding has lead her up and down the road to some exciting
places such as performing for Dixie Stampede in Pigeon Forge, TN.
Tammie has been selected for the contract act of the
American Finals Rodeo in 1998. Also, Tammie has
had the honor of performing her opening ceremonies for the American
Finals Rodeo in 2002. She has also been featured at the International
Finals Rodeo in Oklahoma City, OK performing her trick and fancy
riding in 2002. If that is not enough Tammie has performed at all the
big coliseums such as:
Ohio Expo Center - Columbus, OH Cincinnati

side with the Longhorn World Championship Rodeo during the winter
months, Tammie does a lot of publicity such as radio, newspapers and
television. Tammie has been on the Outdoor Channel and HBO.
